PROBLEMS
Achilles tendonitis is often characterised by pain, aching and stiffness in the Achilles tendon area before, during and after exercise. Achilles tendon, also known as the calcaneal tendon, is found at the back of the leg. It attaches on top of the rear portion of the calcaneus (heel bone) onto the soleus and gastroc (calf muscles). The Achilles tendon is designed to withstand high tensile loads during movement, however once the fibres reach their elastic limit they will tear or rupture. The quicker the elastic limit is reached the higher the chances of rupture. There can be swelling around tendon which is tender to touch.
CURREXSOLE SOLUTION…
CurrexSole Insoles are designed to cushion the heel bone and support the foot. By doing this the curresSole insole can reduce the shearing force on the Achilles tendon, it does this by reducing the speed and the amount of the foot’s pronation. It will also reduce the stretching force, or over elongation of the Achilles tendon, providing relief. N.B. If pain or discomfort persists, please seek medical advice
